Spontaneous!

Spontaneous!

I made a spontaneous decision the other day. I booked flights to Dublin, Ireland for my entire family for May 2018. Thanks to AB and her 2016 Christmas present, I am still trying to accomplish my “name cards”.

I have a word for every letter of my name, and just so happens the last card I opened was “spontaneous”. (Sure, I am behind on opening my cards, but I am catching up! Yes, AB, I know you are reading!) I have been trying hard to think of something spontaneous to do – jump out of a plane (done); get a tattoo (in the works and that’s my “kooky” thing); play hooky from work (hard to do, lol); but booking a trip somewhere…much easier!

As you all know, I have the travel bug like WHOA. Ever since I got back from Thailand, I have been trying to figure out where to go next. So, I recently asked my brother to send me his flight deals. He sent me a number of them that came through the last week or so, but something about Dublin stood out. So, I started looking at the dates and seeing when cheap flights were available. I made my way to May 2018…and sent a message to my family’s group chat.

Mom, “OK, I’m in.” Brother, “I’d go!” Dad, radio silence! In the end, he didn’t really have much of a say, because I booked the flights the other day. For all four of us! Merry Christmas family! We will be going for one week in May. The weather is supposed to be nice and there will be plenty for us to do and explore. We can take mini trips to other countries and explore as much of Ireland we can fit into 7 days. Unbelievable and very exciting.

Talk about spontaneous! 😉
