Ireland, “Wow, So Pretty!”

Ireland, “Wow, So Pretty!”

1,459 km (907 miles) later. 755 pictures, just on my phone. Every shade of green. And lots and lots of family time!

We did it – we successful made it through our Ireland family vacation!

We covered some major distance, ate good food – found a new favorite dessert – and met some really cool people along the way. We saw captivating landscapes in every shade of green. Lived out of hostels and B&B’s for a week. And spent way too much time together…probably the most we’ve spent together in years!!

As mentioned in “Ireland Bound” post before we left, my mom ended up taking over the itinerary. We did plan as we went but had a general sense of what we wanted to do. We ended diverting from our plan toward the end of the trip, but it was okay. We saw so much of Ireland and can’t wait to go back to see more, like Northern Ireland and maybe a couple nights in Dublin.

Can’t tell you how many times I said “Wow, that’s pretty” or “How amazing”. The views of Ireland are nothing I’ve seen before. Sure, some places looked similar to things we have in America, but it’s different. Every shade of green was in abundance, and I mean every shade! There was plenty to see and do – not enough time in the week to see it all.

Over the next week or so, I’ll be sharing my experiences by day. We covered so much ground that it would be hard to put in into a couple posts.

To start you off with some insight into my vacation adventure, here are top favorites of Ireland:

  • Sticky toffee pudding

  • Killarney

  • Dingle Peninsula

  • All the captivating views, like Cliffs of Moher

  • Great times with family

  • …and Torc Waterfall will hold a special place in my heart.

I think I saw more BEACHES than castles. What HEAVEN!

Keep a lookout for my upcoming posts that will feature cities like Waterford, Killarney and Dingle! Stay tuned and hope you enjoy!
