Bringing Back [En]Joy!
A week ago I was talking to my lovely and magnificent friend, AD. We try our best to have a “catch up/vent/talk session” at least once a month. Of course we have a lot going on, but it’s always nice to hear a familiar voice, who’s opinion I value so much.
During one of our latest chat, she reminded me about my 2018 word – ENJOY. And she hit me with that big bomb…”what do you enjoy these days? Isn’t that your word this year?” Zing! Ouch! Damnnnnn!
Major reality check hit…
because I realized I have neglected “my word” and have let hate, dislike, rage and unhappiness run my life for the last couple months. Sure, I’ve had some amazing things happen to me recently and been able to experience some wonderful things. But I quickly forget about the good, because the bad overwhelms and takes control of my life.
Well, it’s time to get back to [en]joy and ME! Sure, I’m not always going to have a good day, but I’m going to work on finding that joy in my every day. Find that light that gets me through. Work towards a better me and a better, HAPPIER life!
I’m going to take the time to share some of the joyous things I’ve experienced over the last few months. It’ll help me to remember that the bad isn’t all consuming. It’s all about perspective and balance…
It’s about time to balance out the hate with some JOY!
Thank you, AD, for being an amazing person and friend. I am honored to have you in my life!
