Living the DMV Life to the Fullest (9/15-9/22)
Who has been to Washington DC?
I have lived outside this city my entire life and I am always amazed what it has to offer each time I venture downtown. While I wish I could live in DC (rent is a little ridiculous; let alone a mortgage!), I realized I wasn’t taking advantage of this great and wonderful city that I had access to at the tips of the fingers.
So, in 2015, I think the same year I made “Travel” my year word for the FIRST time, I made a pact with myself that I would do things in the DC/MD/VA area that I had forgotten about, never done or wanted to see again after all these years. I even made Pinterest boards to reflect my adventures – more or less to keep tabs on myself and my monthly happenings 🙂

Fast forward to 2018…and I somehow got disconnected from that pact!
Of course, I’m pretty sure I know the reason(s) why I have become detached from this “mission” (re: Bringing Back [En]Joy!). but I am finally coming out of that dark space and seeing the light. Which means…I am enjoying the little things and the BIG things that DC has to offer again. It is very exciting to be living again!
Over the last week, I have done more in DC than I feel like I have done in the last 5 months combined. I have taken many more beach trips and more out of the country adventures than usual, so my weekends have been limited. But I am finally taking back control and taking advantage of the local stuff I seem to always overlook.
Interested to know what I got myself into last week?
