Nassau, Bahamas
“Hey mama, stay breezy.”
Something we heard on the daily during our stay in the Bahamas. Guess it kind of helped that we stayed at “The Breezes Resort” – catchy phrase don’t you think?
My friend, HC, and I spent four days in the Bahamas – and it felt like HEAVEN! Both of us GOT TAN (main objective), slept in, adventured around, napped on the beach, and remained on island time until we got back to the states. Even then, I wanted to remain on island time as long as possible. It was the best refresh-vacation I have EVER taken!
Between the crystal clear water, naps on the beach and the sun on our faces, we had a restful and relaxing vacation to get away from the hustle and bustle of Northern Virginia!
If I didn’t mention it in my previous Bahamas, Here I Come post, HC and I had a few goals in mind for this trip:
- Get a tan!
- Enjoy the beach!
- Rest and relax!
- Determine if we could truly be travel buddies.
- Get a tan, on the beach, while R&R’ing.
SUCCESS! All 5 goals complete!
Although our main intent was to relax, we remained active in some way each day. Beach volleyball with resort-goers & staff. Snorkeling. SAILING! HC and I were naturals…we had a BLAST adventuring.
It was very sad when we had to leave the island, but I was very thankful to have experienced the Bahamas. Especially before embarking on a very important career and life change.
Highlights of the Nassau:
- People of the Bahamas are SO FREAKIN’ NICE!
- The water was absolutely beautiful.
- High-end resorts are great people watching places, but don’t always have the VIEW! We stayed at a mid-level resort with direct beach access – wouldn’t change that for anything!
- The beach is one heck of a place.
Salt water cures everything!
