“Go Back to the Beach” 

I went to the beach before Christmas! With the holidays, packing/moving and simply burning the midnight oil, I haven’t had much time. 

When I left my job, I immediately started a “Going-Away Bucket List” – because…WHY NOT? I had so much I wanted to do before I left the area.

If you know me well enough, my happy place is the beach. More specifically, Bethany Beach (Delaware). I describe Bethany as my “safe haven”, “my happy place”, and “home sweet home”. So, of course, before I leave the area, I would want to make a trip back there.

I spent a few days at our beach house, shortly before Christmas. It was GLORIOUS! I slept in. I was lazy. I walked the vacant streets and walked the empty beach. And had dinner at my two favorite spots in Bethany! Matt’s Fish Camp and a family friends’ house. Home-cooked meals are always the best – and I better get as much of those as I can before I venture away from home.

While most of the time I was at the beach was rainy, foggy and cold, I had the luxury of lounging on the beach on my last day there. It was such a gorgeous, bright, warm day. It couldn’t have been any better – especially for one of my last visits to Bethany for a while.

Bethany is my happy place. The memories will always be with me. And I will be there again VERY SOON!
