The Family is Ireland Bound!
*Ireland Bound*
And we’re off! Four family members, all packed and ready to go. It’s been a roller coaster ride to get this far, but we are doing it. We are Ireland bound. So exciting!
Levels of frustration and anxiety hit an all time high this week, with my dad not officially having a passport…until yesterday. YES, SERIOUSLY- YESTERDAY! With some strings pulled and maybe a “pouty dad face”, he came home with that little booklet in hand. Thank goodness. Otherwise, it was going to be 3/4 us….
This is one of the biggest family trips we have ever done, with all four us together. We’ve taken beach trips together, driven to Florida for sports, and taken plenty of separate trips over the years.
But this is definitely a big FIRST!
We fly out of Rhode Island, take an overnight flight to Ireland and will be there by morning. My mom eventually took over the itinerary planning and has a general idea of the plan. I’m kind of excited about going by the seat of our pants, but we do at least have a general idea and highlights on the to-do-list.
Looking forward to sharing our trip in future posts.
Stay tuned to see this part Irish family take on one of our homelands!
PS. How cool is the featured post picture?!? I was at the beach last weekend and saw the directional sign. I see it every time I walk the boardwalk, but the miles to Dublin never held significant meaning…until now!!!
